About Atelier Louis

Art gallery with a passion for South Africa

We let people discover the beauty of the art of South-African artists in an accessible way. Atelier Louis was born out of a passion for the country and its art.

Meet Sandra and Luc

We are Sandra and Luc, both absolute bon-vivants and entrepreneurs. We love South Africa and art. After numerous trips to the rainbow nation, this combination led to the establishment of art gallery Atelier Louis.

With Atelier Louis we want to break through many prejudices about South African art. In this way we introduce the world to the splendour of its creations. We also want to charm non-art enthusiasts with magnificent masterpieces.

Together to a fitting work of art

A company or private individual looking for an eye-catcher for their interior? Atelier Louis will help you look for a suitable creation, made to measure or from the existing offer. We take care of the administration and logistics.

Stage for artists

We are currently working with fourteen dedicated artists. Some are specialized in painting faces, each with his own unique painting technique and message. Others are specialised in abstract works and some in making beautiful sculptures. And ceramics are also available.

Our artists are key. Presenting their work to the world is what we go for. A transparent, constructive cooperation between us as an art distributor and the artist is the only way for us to reach that goal.

Showing art in accessible surroundings

We deliberately don’t use a traditional gallery concept where works are exhibited for a long time. Atelier Louis deliberately chooses a different approach. We want to display the works of art in a more accessible environment such as furniture stores, restaurants, hotels … Interested in a partnership? Feel free to contact us.

Atelier Louis supports SA Children’s home in Cape Town

Children’s Home provide a secure home for boys and girls in a difficult situation.

For each work of art sold, we make a donation to SA Children’s Home.
