Richie’s paintings are character studies, in which he depicts figures against imaginary, idealized, and vividly colored backgrounds. Through the use of vibrant colors and visual storytelling, he addresses themes such as living conditions in impoverished communities, aiming to create happiness and harmony.

Richie Madyira’s work is rooted in his personal experiences and offers an optimistic view of the people of Zimbabwe, South Africa, and the rest of the continent. He hopes his work encourages others to seek better opportunities and a better life.
